Back in the day when it was really tough when we were building the practice and we had ran out of money and the bank were telling me horrible things about taking my house away. I could chat to my friend (Bob).

Bob had been through some rough times in his life personally and even professionally and he had lost his house and some of the contact with his family.

Bob and I would meet up and we would chat, we would walk the dog and I would look and remember how rough it had been for him and how he still managed to have a smile on his face.

We would share experiences together, just little things, inexpensive and cheap and when I had the money I would pay and when he had the money he would pay, and we travelled through that period together as friends.

Not meeting all the time and nothing overbearing, just chatting and sharing and it made it better.

I never posted stuff like that online and I never talked about it widely with people I didn’t know because I didn’t have to.

The greatest therapy in times of trouble is sharing something with your friend.
