I learnt this last week from John Gibson who will now become a feature of our work here at the practice.
Rotating around our staff meetings and our team days will be the opportunity (or even the imperative) for individual members of the team to tell us their story in seven minutes.
John suggested one person per meeting, but I think we should have two because I think there’s strength in numbers.
Sharing personal information is absolutely critical in healthcare but no more so than between team members.
We used to get this from socialising and getting drunk but now we need to put it into a position where it happens regularly and where people have permission to share.
Just a little idea that I thought you might like; you think you know the guys you work with but you don’t unless you give them permission to speak.
