Pouring money on your life

If you’re ever lucky (although it won’t feel it) enough to reach a situation in your life where you have enough money but continue to work hard to make more money despite the fact that you already have enough, you will reach the situation of ‘unexplained unhappiness’.

But I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful life and a beautiful car and a beautiful house and beautiful, healthy children and yet still I feel empty?

It’s my belief that this happens to many, many more people than those which would report it on social media.

Perhaps it’s useful to understand that the solution to this feeling of emptiness and this problem of loneliness is not to pour money on it.

Pouring money onto an already sad life which has enough, is exactly the same as pouring petrol onto a bonfire.

Perhaps best to put the petrol away and toast some very cheap marshmallows on the bonfire with your children.
