On the 28th February Chris Barrow will introduce the first event in the schedule for the Peer Review with The Campbell Clinic.

This is our new venture where we hope to engage further with local practitioners and also create a little community of people who want to talk about dentistry, all it’s aspects and how we can improve things both for ourselves, for the patients and for the profession.

I think Chris is the best person to do this because he is a disrupter and someone who is able to facilitate an argument and a discussion, that is what we need. We need to be open and honest and look at where the opportunities and threats lie moving forwards; that is what that night will be about.

As with all the Peer Reviews with The Campbell Clinic evenings though it will be centred around case discussions and onto the Facebook page we will put cases in advance. We will ask you guys to start putting cases on there in advance too.

A little inside information from Chris himself, he explains "I was a little concerned when I read Colin’s post on my presentation that the “doom and gloom” aspect of the title might put people off attending. After all, who needs another consultant telling us that we are all going to suffer and then offering a magic pill called “my stuff that you can buy?”. So, here’s the good news... If I were creating the title for my presentation/discussion again (and perhaps less influenced by the ominous ending of the last season of Game of Thrones) I would call it “Winter is coming – but here’s what the best practices are doing to survive and prosper through the toughest of times”.

The first 20% of the evening will be a quick review of what’s going on out there in a dental marketplace, with specific references to impacts on the independent sector. The remaining 80% will be focused on best practice; on what the Champions League practices are doing to stay ahead of the game (of business, not of thrones)."

If you would like to attend the event please click here to book on.

Chris also promises that as an attendee of the night "you will leave the evening with new ideas".

We look forward to seeing you there.
