Other peoples urgency

Part of todays projects was to begin the process for finishing up.

Tomorrow night at around 5 o’clock I’ll be done until February and need to leave my desk clear and my inbox empty and every other box empty and make sure everybody else is well tasked and I am not tasked at all.

In a situation like this it claims a huge amount of urgency from other people who feel many things need to be finished before I go away but that is their urgency, not my urgency and I have to be able to prioritise what’s the most important thing to finish.

The question tomorrow will not be if I’m finished because I will never be finished because everything keeps rolling in at the speed of light and as soon as I clear an inbox more comes into the inbox.

The question will be “am I finished enough?”.
