Non-negotiable

This is a blog to myself.

Having something written down and published, so that I can take responsibility for things I need to do properly.

In my life, the things that are (or should I say, should be) non-negotiable as follows;

  1. The amount of sleep that I get (7hrs and 30minutes is a minimum every night)
  2. No more than three units of alcohol in one sitting
  3. The food that I eat and the care that I take with what I eat
  4. A minimum of five exercise sessions every week
  5. Set amount of quality, excellent things that I do with my family each week
  6. Mindfulness

When things are good, I am able to stick to my non-negotiables, and when things are bad it seems to be that I negotiate the non-negotiables and they become negotiables and therefor are no longer, non-negotiables and my life spirals downwards to a point where I think I cannot function until I reinstate the non-negotiables.

The best people, the good people and the one’s that I respect the most are the ones who are able to set the boundaries of non-negotiable.

We all fall off the wagon, now and again, but to return back to set a fundamental principle, is probably the best way to make the most impact and the most of all our progress.
