Some people like to finish things and some people like to start them.
Very few people are good at both.
The finisher is particular.
Never starts a book without finishing it, never walks out of a film half way through.
Leaves their desk tidy at the end of the day and ticks off all the boxes.
The starter begins with a great ideas and pushes it so far and then jumps to the next great idea, until there is a path of half finished great ideas behind.
The greatest combination is the starter and the finisher working in harmony.
I am a starter.
I’ve had the psychological testing done through several different platforms and the results are always the same.
I don’t finish well but I start particularly well.
This is important to understand because framing problems in a way that your brain understands is probably one of the best ways to solve the problems.
For right or for wrong, I see this spring as a new beginning both personally and from a family perspective and professionally.
I also see it as a new beginning for society.
We’re not coming to the end of things now and we’re not finishing things, we have the opportunity to rebuild and to grow up and to move along.
For me, at least, that prospect could not be more exciting.
In 2020 I finished an extraordinary big project and everything else around me suffered dramatically as a result.
Spring of 2021 is a new beginning.
