“I’ve lived the length and breadth of my life”.
This is what a patient said to me today.
We were getting to know each other in their first consultation and they explained all of the different things they’d done and the different phases of their life.
I have done the same.
In 2008, I had two significant life events in close session which made me consider exactly how I wanted to live.
It’s when I started my diary that I write to myself now and I wrote “I never want to waste a minute”.
Even up to that time as I look at my timeline on the back wall of my office (I’m doing that now as I produce this blog) that paints a picture of a life that says ‘I’m happy that I lived that’.
I’m not seeking quiet or calm or comfortable.
I’m seeking to live the length and breadth of my life.
