This arrived on my desk last week.

This is a bit of a watershed for the ITI because this is the first time they have revised or reviewed guidance in a Treatment Guide 10 years after this book was first produced.

This was the book that changed my implant career and introduced me to the concept of provisional crowns and the aesthetics. It allowed me to carry this out and to present it at various different types of meetings. This pushed me forwards into a position of being seen as someone who could educate on this subject.

Following on from digesting the book entirely I went to do the Master Class at the University of Birmingham.

This book has been completely revised based on systematic reviews of the aesthetic literature and the consensus conference in 2014.

There are even QR codes throughout this book that allow you to download all the papers related to the evidence in PDF form. The book is about twice the size of its original and not only does it encompass treatment in the aesthetic zone it shows long term results and data for different treatment protocols. It gives specific indications that are research based for when immediate placement is acceptable and when not in the hands of normal people. It covers extensively CBCT and, as always with ITI Treatment Guides. it’s beautifully photographed.

This is the bible for aesthetic implant placements for the next 10-years, I don’t think that is overstating the point.

It is our job at The Campbell Academy to dissect this page by page because it feeds entirely into the Aesthetic Live Skills course in November. So I guess you have a choice, if you want to do that yourself, go through the book word by word and then implement it into your practice over the next few years, but if you want help interpreting that and guiding it through live surgical cases and the teaching on the Aesthetic Course then I think we have two places or so left in November, so why not give us a shout? Details are below. Otherwise get hold of the book, you don’t have to be an ITI member (it’s free if you are a standard ITI member, it gets delivered through the door as all Treatment Guides do) If you were to join the ITI now, you would get this book as part of your membership free at the start.
