This is where we unveil and release our Year Three Implant Course.

I have dreamt of providing this course for years, but the infrastructure around the Academy and the year one and two courses were not complete, so I had to bide my time, and that is something that I'm not very good at.

I dreamed of a 'fellowship', a place where experienced implant dentists could come and share complex cases while learning from people of international and world renown.

It would have a discussion platform where we could share things that went right and wrong over a year.

It would be a place where we could talk together, where we could look at cases from the outset and disagree and argue and come to a conclusion that was for the best for the patient, and it would be bookended by some outstanding education from people from different parts of the world (you always have to go outside your own country to get a greater perspective).

And so, at the start of 2024, our Campbell Academy year three course will begin on the back of year one and year two.

The features of the course are as follows:

1. It's a place for people to become complex dental implant practitioners.

2. It's a framework leading towards the ITI diploma, a high-level innovative and modern new qualification published globally by the ITI.

3. It includes three extraordinary world-class master classes from the University of Geneva team, the University of Zurich and the University of Turin with Daniele Cardaropoli.

4. It has its own Slack channel where people can discuss the most complicated of cases and the most difficult of complications and see how they get through that and how we all work at it together. It will be a living, breathing, multidisciplinary team.

One of the most extraordinary things we hope this course will bring is the fact that each month during the course, participants will gain access to a single case.

This case will be revealed over the first week of the month in terms of photographs, the history of the patient, and an interview with the patient leading to how the case was carried out regarding surgery.

There will be a video of the surgery and restorative aspects of the case, and all the photography and digital material for the case will be released together with leading to post-operative material, including videos of the patient and from the clinician.

Each of these cases in themselves will be an extraordinary piece of presentation art, and they will encourage discussion and argument and discourse about how the case could be managed and how it could be dealt with.

Some of the cases will be relatively straightforward, and some of them complex.

Some of them will be excellent outcomes, and some of them will be complications, but this should allow delegates to gain a profound and clear understanding of what complex implant dentistry is about.

It will sit at the top of a pyramid of three years of courses and allow you to exit with an ITI diploma (if you choose) and the education and the sign-off to be a complex implant practitioner.

It will give you access to the other master classes at The Campbell Academy and a tribe of people who are heading in the same direction as you.

This is something that we are so proud of, something that we've been waiting some years to launch and would only be able to happen in the facility that we're in with the team that we have and the associations that we've developed with other institutions.

If you are at the stage of moving from advanced (anterior aesthetic implant dentistry and straightforward sinus grafting or bone grafting or reconstruction cases) to a much higher level where you can share with colleagues your learning and your experience, I think this is probably the place for you.

Why not get in touch and give us a shout?

We'd love to see you.

We intend to put as many people through the ITI diplomat as we possibly can, starting with Andy and I next year.

We'll be doing this so you can follow with us or in our footsteps afterwards, and I promise I'll tell you if I don't pass.
