It’s possible to insulate yourself or your house or your life to the maximum possible effect.
The problem with this is that although you keep yourself safe and warm you have an extraordinary risk of suffocation
It does feel very much that the goal of almost everyone now is to protect themselves from all possible bumps and interruptions (to try to make as much money or buy as much stuff as possible).
There’s a place for insulation (and insurance) but it’s a small place in a world where we accept that it’s necessary to be cold more than some of the time.
