It always amazes me how, when the schedule goes nuts and the time collapses in and Colin Campbell (whoever he is) disappears and just becomes a work horse it seems for everyone else, it’s the good stuff that gets sacrificed.

Forcing the issue and leveraging the time to do the stuff that nourishes you and makes you feel better, that inspires you and makes you feel alive… that is one of the most important things.

Keeping hold of the time to do your creative thing or to ride your bike or whatever it is that feeds your soul is more important than that urgent job lying on your desk.

I’ve just finished a three hour meet up and podcasting recording session with Shaun Sellars (you can click on the button below to get to the latest podcast) and it absolutely feeds me.

The conversations we have over the table, whether they’re in front of a microphone or not, and just a general catch up with people whose attitudes and philosophies are the same is priceless.

It would be easy to cancel something like that in the madness and busyness that I find myself in this week and almost every week. But to make the time to get it done, that’s how progress gets made for me.

I think that’s how progress gets made for everyone.
