Hunting for good news

Do you find yourself doing that?

Do you search the news for the good bits to add to your confirmation bias that things are actually ok?

Do you double count things so they look better?

Do you put your fingers in your ears when the bad news is there and listen carefully when things seem better?

There are times when I find myself doing this, unable to be objective only wanting to hear something positive in a world where there is so much that is negative.

The better way to deal with this from my point of view is to change the narrative.

Forget the news from the external, change the narrative from the internal then you’re less likely to be hit from the side by a missile or feel the sickness in your stomach from the roller-coaster ride that we’ve been on for long enough.

We’ve always lived in an uncertain world.

We just didn’t realise how uncertain it was until now.
