Here we go again and again

So it’s eyes down and look in for a second round of ‘bingo’ on the Coronacoaster.

It’s starting to feel a bit February/ March as we hurtle towards a, what did he call it? “Circuit breaker”.

The short two-week stop might become four, your kids might be off for six-weeks if you add in half-term.

Just as your team were getting back to work and thinking about using their holidays they'll be off again but maybe this time not with a furlough.

You’ll be expected to keep your practice open with your team paid even if your patients are too scared to come.

But will they be too scared to come?

They don’t seem scared to come to private practices at the moment.

Most of the private practice guys I speak to are run off of their feet and can't understand how busy they are.

Many of the NHS guys I speak to are not busy at all.

If you’ve managed to get open, maintain the continuity of your business and maintained some continuity of your team then you’ve won.

If you haven’t been able to do that yet; it’s going to get harder and harder and they’re certainly not going to want to come back as much as the did once it gets into the dark nights.

What did you learn from the last one, what did you learn from the lockdown?

Take the things you learnt and then learn some more; adapt the way you did before and then adapt again.

Take the opportunity to try new things and do new things and try not to burn out and burst.

This time of year is generally head down to Christmas in the Campbell household but we haven’t had a summer so we have to be very careful not to break or not to break the ones around us.

As always in these cases, collaboration with good people and information from the best sources is the only way to survive.

I hope your lines of communication are secure, I hope your relationships are strong because it’s going to get rough and tough.
