How to read guidelines

The process for assessing guidelines which are produced at short notice to me seems to go something like this:

1) Receive notification that guidelines are in production which might help in some way or another with providing some normality to your work.

2) Become extremely excited and upbeat about the production of such guidelines.

3) Receive guidelines either via email or by social media.

4) Completely panic upon reading the guidelines and think that the world is going to end and generally just go mental and then laps into huge depression.

5) Reread the guidelines again, work out a way to utilise the guidelines to help facilitate your work and overcome the difficulties.

6) Repeat process indefinitely throughout the whole of the COVID-19 crisis.
