You like greeting card slogan because they work, because they’re true.
When I was growing up as a boy there was a picture of a solider being shot on the battlefield with the word “Why?”, it was iconic.
It was like a greeting card slogan.
We send things on social media or on cards or on emails to inspire our friends or to pick them up when they’re down or to make them laugh.
We read quotes or we put them on our walls to remind us that other people have difficult times too that they’ve had to overcome.
Even better than that is to share greeting card slogans between ourselves when we sit down and talk to each other with honesty and I honestly believe that it is something that we have lost over the past 10 years as we live in a world now where everybody has to be doing ok all the time.
I have always been inspired by quotes and quotes of people who have done remarkable things, but one of my favorites that keeps coming back to me at the present time is this.
“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men (women)” This was John F Kennedy, but he had stolen it from someone else, it is often the way that these are reused or recycled from other places because quotes like this continue to inspire people day after day, week after week, year after year.
