In the last blog which was number 6 of this little mini series that I have written, I  talked about the sacrifice. The sacrifice that was made in the hope that I would receive something back.

The one sacrifice that I didn’t talk about was the financial sacrifice.

That is because that is not the most important sacrifice and if truth be told, I spent everything I had on getting this practice open.

I didn’t do that to get the money back, I did it for other things and some of those things I have already seen.

  1. I gained support, love and motivation from my Wife and my three children (and my dog).

The way those guys looked after me and have looked after me, is beyond words and certainly beyond writing.

  1. The support from my friends (often unanswered) has been devastatingly wonderful.

I gained the joy of achieving something which seemed almost impossible and to be able to walk in somewhere and see the team around me begin to blossom and flourish in ways that I could not of imagined, but bizarrely and ridiculously, I gained this. I gained the ability to cycle to work, today for example, riding over a hill towards the practice with the sun coming up, seeing the practice through the tree’s and arriving in the bitter cold morning chill to Disney Land.

I sat at my desk and looked out of the window towards the “cycling hill” and ate my breakfast which was already here after I had a shower in the practice.

That is paradise, that is wealth and that is health, at least to me.

If I never get anything else, I will always have what I did today.
