DID - The difference

So, our Digital Implant Dentistry (DID) course launches in March 2020 for the first episode and all of the sale guys will tell me that I have to provide “features and benefits” and “differentiate the product” so here goes nothing.

The DID course is six days long, split into two separate sittings, one for surgery and one for restorative.

The first module which is surgical, will be delivered by myself, Taimoor Kamran, Mark Melbourne (our digital implant dentistry technician) and Nish Yadev (one of our restorative clinicians and research boffin).

The course will start theoretical and become more and more practical, so by the end on the surgical day of day three, there will be live surgery going on to either participate in or to watch and learn from.

The second part of the course is a restorative aspect which will bring in much more intraoral scanning, the use of scan bodies and design of restorations and working with digital laboratory. It will also highlight the protocols of different restoration designs that are able to be carried out now more and more easily using digital techniques.

More than this, it will cut through the fluff, the rubbish and the nonsense that is spoken about by both companies and individuals alike.

We have been running Digital Implant Dentistry protocols in the practice for five years and have ran through many different systems. We know what works and what doesn’t with the current stuff available where we can see what the direction of travel for Digital Implant Dentistry is (well, we think we can).

We’re differentiated from different courses, not only because of the content and the speakers involved, but because of the huge practical element associated with the course.

You also have the opportunity to bring your own patients to the course, to provide surgery in the first module and part of the restorative process in the second.

Finally, we are at some crazy new facility which is absolutely stacked for Digital Implant Dentistry practice and for the teaching of those subjects.

We’re delighted to say that many of the Academy courses are booking up and almost full by this stage for next year (way better than any year we have ever had) we don’t expect a DID will be much different, so if you are looking for a space, it is probably best that you contact us, so we can have a chat to see whether you might fit.
