A new course for 2020, our Digital Implant Dentistry Course aims to provide a solid and secure grounding in the full process and protocol of digital implant dentistry planning for general dental practitioners.
We were motivated to construct and build this new course for 2020 largely based on the fact that digital implant dentistry is a complete minefield and sometimes an overwhelming battering ram for people who find themselves feeling isolated in practice.
The course will take place across 2 parts. Part one is three days, covering the surgical aspects of digital implant dentistry and diagnosis and part two is also 3 days and is based on restorative aspects of digital implant dentistry.
The course will be full of hands on, group discussion, live surgery and (hopefully) your own surgery. The theoretical stuff at the start of the course will be taken into the practical towards the end and you’ll be able to take this forwards to build it into your own practice and to develop a system for Digital Implant Dentistry that works for you.
The surgical module in June will take delegates from a minimal based knowledge to an excellent understanding of surgical procedures in digital implant dentistry. This will involve a full review of the technology and processes involved, capturing information for surgical planning, followed by the actual practice of surgical dental implant placement with computer guided surgery. Taimoor Kamran will assist Colin in delivery this module.
The restorative module will be delivered after a summer break by Andy Legg and Ashley Byrne who will assist Andy with the technical aspects of digital implant dentistry. For those that have carried out surgery on the previous module they will be able to work on their own patients to design their own restorations and fit them during the course if they wish.
Delegates will have the choice of taking part in either the surgical module, the restorative module or both.
Taimoor Kamran and Ashley Byrne will drop into the clinical faculty to assist Colin and Andy in the delivery of this course.
There are 16 places available so please get in touch to find out more or reserve your space!

He has placed in the region of 4,000 dental implants and restored approximately 1,000. He has been teaching in implant dentistry since 2000.
Colin has been the architect and designer of many implant courses previously for other organisations and now The Campbell Academy takes a considerable amount of his time in providing implant and dental education the way he believes it should be done.
Andrew has worked with Colin at the practice for the past three and a half years and has been an inspiration and an exceptional clinician providing superb treatment for The Clinic’s patients. He has embarked on a teaching career previously with Tipton Training and other independent providers and is now Colin’s Co-Director at The Campbell Academy. He has placed and restored thousands of dental implants from the most straightforward cases to the most complex.
Graduating as a dentist in 2003, Taimoor has been practicing in London as a dentist with special interest in aesthetic and implant dentistry. In 2010, he joined the Kings’ College London (KCL) MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry programme as a postgraduate student. He graduated with Distinction in December 2012. Taimoor is a postgraduate clinical teacher and examiner at King’s College London Dental institute.
Since qualifying as a Dental Technician in 1993, Mark has been driven to provide patients with the highest standard of dentures possible.
In Mark’s opinion, the impact that a comfortable, individually crafted set of dentures can have on someone’s life is immeasurable; it was for that reason in 2011 he qualified as one of the first group of UK trained Clinical Dental Technicians at the Royal College of Surgeons, allowing him to work directly with patients who require dentures. Mark has extensive experience working with oral surgeons and dentists with denture stabilisation and is Straumann registered.
Ashley is the owner of Byrnes Dental Laboratory, a leader in modern dental technology, he qualified with a degree in Dental Technology in 2000 and started his own lab with his Dad in 2006. As early pioneers in the world of scanning and CAD-CAM, the lab has gone from strength to strength and now even has its own training facility.
Nishant Yadev graduated in Dentistry from the University of Sheffield in 2015. After spending a year in general practice, Nish joined The Campbell Clinic in September 2016.
Before Nish trained to become a dentist, he had undertaken an undergraduate MSc in Molecular Medicine and then a research-based PhD in Oral Disease. During this time, Nish had presented his work at National and International conferences and he won the European Association of Oral Medicine Young Scientist Award in 2008.
