Custodians

In a short, interesting conversation with Callum on Sunday, he said he actually felt a little bit sad for Donald Trump when he saw him walking off Air Force One knowing that he’d lost the election.

He felt bad for feeling sad because he thought he should be glad that Trump was gone but it was just a human side knowing someone had lost something.

The fact is though that Donald Trump was a custodian of an office for a short period of time after which point he hands the office to someone else to do good.

Probably worth remembering that applies to all of us.

We’re only here for a short while and in the end our job is to pass it on to those that come behind us in a little bit better shape than it was when we found it.

Perhaps if we could do that and be more kind, we would move things along in a direction that we wanted.
