Tomorrow is CQC day at The Campbell Clinic, a year later (at least) than we expected.

It was January 2020 when we were told that we would be unable to open for 3 months by someone at the CQC but then that passed quite quickly and opened we did.

Tomorrow is our first inspection at our new site.

It turns out though that the role of the CQC is not to close practices but to keep them open and keep them open safely.

In the same way that the role of the GDC is not to strike off dentists but to keep dentists working to look after patients safety.

Once you get your head around that fact, it’s not a problem to have a CQC inspection.

We will not be perfect because we are not perfect and there are no perfect practices.

What we will do is take anything that the CQC decides needs to be better and make it better at lightning speed, so that we will be better.

So that we will be open, so that we’ll be safer, so that we can serve our patients even better than we did today.
