COVID casualties

Not the casualties you might assume that I’m talking about, who are the people who have lost their lives as a result of the pandemic or the families that have been left behind bereft of loved ones who have past away.

But the other casualties which will emerge following a rebirth after the pandemic into the world which we see next.

People will not want to go back to the work they were at before.

People may not want to go back to the life they had before.

People will leave their marriages and leave their children, people will leave their employment and people will search out for bucket lists and better lives and different circumstances where they would not have done that before.

Some people will get an electric shock into action to change the way they live.

For some of us that will be difficult because it will mean that what we felt was certain is no longer certain and people leave or move out of our lives or move away to pursue something else.

The fact is though that this was always the case, it has just happened at the same time and in a mass way which we’ve never seen before.

Also when it happens to you, you become one of the casualties but that is just the way of life.

Resilience, creativity and the humility to understand that you’re entitled to nothing and every good thing that happens is something that should be celebrated.
