Circus Time - The Rony Show

Rony Jung is here again this week (For the 3rd time).

When Rony comes, it's quite extraordinary; he brings with him enormous energy, inspiration, and motivation.

He is, after all, one of, if not the most famous implant clinicians in the world.

I have been super lucky to get to know Rony over the past three years or so and to work with him on different things. He has recently become the president-elect of the ITI (International Team for Implantology), the global organisation that we both work for.

He's also the president of the EO (European Association of Osseointegration) and has pretty much been the president or the director or the boss of every implant organisation going.

He travels pretty much every week, transcontinental and around the world; one week, he could be in America and in South America than in Australia or China or the Far East or wherever.

He's almost impossible to pin down for anything, but every so often, he will send me a WhatsApp message with a picture of his family on holiday or something that has reminded him of something that we've done in the past.

It's a joy and a privilege.

And so when he comes for two days to our place (arrives Wednesday night, goes home Friday afternoon), it's like a circus.

People start to flock to the practice and go, "Oh, I just want an hour with Rony", or "Please, can I just have 15 minutes to have a chat with Rony about an idea that I've had?".

That's pretty mental.

It's pretty much scheduled out minute by minute.

He is one of the most extraordinary people you can meet; he never appears tired, never appears to lack energy, is always on the go, and has been for 30 years.

You meet these guys from time to time; they're quite exceptional.

Someone contacted me via WhatsApp recently (annoying). He suggested they wanted to pitch a business idea to me and Rony for an hour while he was here.

They got hold of Rony too, and he'd spoken to me about it and said, "Why don't we give the person a chance?" and I'm thinking, 'When the royal f*ck are we going to do that in the schedule over about 47 hours'.

So, we set up a meeting at 7 a.m. on Thursday morning, breakfast at the hotel, and 45 minutes for the person to come and have breakfast and tell us what it was all about.

It turns out they couldn't make it; it didn't suit their schedule.

The person contacted me again and said, "Don't worry, I'll get a hold of Rony myself and catch up with him" (Good luck with that).

It's kind of what the circus is like.

That's why it's so extraordinary that if you are a delegate on this course, you get Rony Jung 1000% from the minute the programme starts to the minute the programme ends, and for the course meal, lunchtimes, and coffee breaks.

I've seen Rony lecture all over the world in different places, and he never gives that to anybody else; I've never seen it.

And so if you're thinking about being inspired by somebody who is one of the best at their craft, if you want to learn new skills that you can bring straight into your practice on the Monday after the course, which will enhance your patient's lives and make your business better, then think about next year in July coming and meeting him and spending two days.

It absolutely changed our lives two years ago, the first time he came. It could change yours too.
