Busy blindness

I opened the curtains in my bedroom on Sunday at 8.00 (I don't usually sleep that late and don't usually open the curtains, that's usually what Alison does while I walk the dogs).

I looked directly down, and we have a flowering cherry tree which I totally love, which is now full of green leaves and has been apparently for 10 days.

There are half a dozen daffodils below it as well in full bloom.

It's been like this for 10 days and I haven't noticed because I'm too busy worrying about stuff that's not worth worrying about to notice the things that are most important, that I won't get the chance to see again for at least another year.

Really time to stop and take a look again.

It's always time to stop and take a look.
