The reason we gravitate to quotes and bumper stickers and Hallmark cards is that we constantly need reminding of which direction we’re hoping to travel.
It’s like a dentist regularly reviewing their CPR training in case someone has a heart attack.
If we don’t use it, we forget it and then we can’t do it.
In The Academy we have a wall which is filling up with quotes and little inspirational pieces which have been put together by Carl Dunstan.
I can stand in front of that wall and read quotes that I’ve read before and be reinspired and remember what it is I’m here for.
All the distraction in all the world in the way we live our lives detracts us from our purpose and from our ‘true north’.
The appropriate use of a bumper sticker can jolt us back on the right path.
