The importance of the quality of your equipment

The picture in this post is the main chain ring from my best bike, which hangs in the garage.

Picture for quality of equipment blog

This is the bike I would use in the bike leg of any triathlon race and is designed to give me the advantage to go as quickly as possible and as fast as my legs would carry me.

There comes a point for the very best athletes (not me included!) where the equipment can make all the difference when the margins between winning and losing are so small, in my case its mostly about the amount of training I have done.

In triathlon races, as well as in dentistry, to get the best results it is essential to use the best equipment possible. You may be surprised to discover that this is not always the case in healthcare but in our practice we have taken great measures to make sure that we always use the best equipment and the very best products available.

We only use Straumann dental implants, which are a Swiss company that have been around since implants were invented.

Straumann market two different types of implant, one which is clinically proven to be better than the other and we only use the best. Any other materials we use are industry leaders, including the bone graft materials and our suturing materials, together with our surgical instruments. Our surgical implant motor is the best on the market and we have recently upgraded this. We also carry a spare surgical motor (I’ve never found another practice that does this)

When you are trying to be the best at what you do, sometimes the only difference is the equipment you use and we use the very best.

You can be rest assured that my performance in dentistry is better than my performance as a triathlete!
