Here is a good question I was pondering the other day (because I am a weirdo)
In a documentary many years ago with Eddie Irvine, the then Ferrari formula one driver, they asked him how much money it would take to change his life. What a great question.
He kind of did the calculation out loud and said “well I earn 2 – 3 millions pounds per Grand Prix, I have this many Grand Prix’s left in my contract, blah blah blah… 100 million pounds” to which the interviewer was staggered and said “what are you talking about?”
Irvine said “if you gave me 10 million pounds it wouldn’t stop me being a Grand Prix driver, if you gave me a 100 million it would”
Ask yourself the question. Everybody would like to get £5,000 that they have never had or even £100,000 but what would it actually take to change your life?
Once you realise how big the number actually is I think it is possible to stop worrying about it and just move on and get on with things.
A good little game to play with your spouse of an evening.
