Two years ago after an introduction by Chris Barrow, I became a devotee of Seth Godin. I have read most of his books and I get his blog delivered to my inbox everyday and always read it.
One of Godin’s greatest concepts is ‘expression of your art’. Everybody expresses themselves in a different way.
I really, really wish I had written Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay, not because it would have made me rich but just because it is fantastic. I wish I had been Gary Larson the cartoonist or Philip Pullman the writer but I am not any of those things and I can’t do it.
The only way I have got to express my art is through dentistry and dental practice and so I am going to concentrate on that for the rest of my life and try to make it as good as I can.
