Bet against me…Go on I dare you!

My Birthday was a few weeks ago. 42 years young!

At times like this I am able to sit and appreciate how lucky I am and all the wonderful things I have including my family and my health.

Last year I made some promises for things that I would do for The Karen Green Foundation and Bridge2Aid and this year, I decided I wouldn't ask for sponsorship again as we have asked for lots in the last 2 years. I decided instead, we might play a little game… if you're up for it.

The target I set for the biggest race of my year is 4:45. I can tell you that, at the moment, this seems a long, long way away and probably quite unlikely but in the interests of motivating you and I, I suggest a little wager.

I will give 2:1 odds to anyone who bets that I can't do it. That's 4 hours and 45 minutes start to finish at the Outlaw Half Triathlon in Nottingham (in all likelihood this would put me in the top 30 or 40 people of 1200)

From now on in, until 1st June, I will have to be 'on it' all the time so perhaps your money is safe but for 2:1 odds it can't be bad.

If I don't do it I will pay the charities twice what you pledged before the race. I want to make this as easy as possible so no just giving pages. All you have to do is email the address below and tell me the amount you are going to wedge. e.g £20.

colincampbellfa@gmail.com

It is an email click, 3 characters and send.

After the event we will contact everyone who has emailed and pester them for money if I have done it or I will contact everyone who has emailed and show them how we paid twice as much as they pledged.

In essence, I am not asking you to give any money to charity, I am giving you the opportunity to laugh at me when I fall flat on my face… that's got to be worth a few bob!

All proceeds to The Karen Green Foundation.

I plan to post this every Friday afternoon so sorry if you get sick of it but please turn off if you keep reading it!
