Jake Bugg - Shangri La
Following the huge success of Jake Bugg's first album, this was released in quite quick succession and demonstrates how amazingly good he is at song writing at such a young age.
It seems that Bugg writes everything himself including the lyrics and, although he seems to be followed by a lot of guys who feel is he 'daft boy made good', he is clearly not. He must be particularly well read with a lot of experience to be able to write songs like this.
The best way to describe it is Bob Dylan with a bit of Country and Western. It would be easy to see that he would massive in the Southern States of America because he sounds like his music was made for that part of the world and the modern Country and Western scene.
Some of the songs are a bit rockier and, when played in concert, he is almost able to replicate them exactly.
If I were you I would have both the Jake Bugg albums in your collection.
