So long – see you tomorrow

Right… These guys have been on my list for ages.

I hear them periodically on Radio 1 and a load of fuss gets made about their music. They have been around for a long time, this is at least their fourth album, and I have not bought any material previously.

As the name suggests, there is a background Indian vibe to this and I’m not clever enough to tell you which instruments are being used but they mix it is extremely well and the music is harmonious, soft, comforting and intelligent.

The best track reported before I bought it was Luna which is quite upbeat and has a real Indian sub beat but my favourite track on the album is Eyes Off You, which is a haunting piano track with beautiful lyrics, a real love song and typically the one that would appeal to me.

I’m glad to have investigate this, been listening to it a lot walking round in the evenings with the dog but it won’t get you up to dance!
