Charles Handy

Myself and other more important matters

A truly inspiring book and a truly inspiring author.

Charles Handy has been described as one of the only world class business gurus in the UK but he is much, much more than that. I have referenced him several times in my blog previously but his books are absolutely fantastic and essential reading for anybody who is interested in self development.

In his memoirs Handy goes through the story of his life which is quite remarkable and the decisions that he took at several points of his life which has ultimately lead him to be the person he is. His anecdotes are fantastic, the lessons he has learned along the way are absolutely invaluable and he describes them beautifully through this book. It is available in audio and in print copies (and kindle) it is a fantastic book to take on holiday and to read to re-set yourself and allow yourself to decide what is actually really important in your life and the things you want to focus on.

This will take you to other places with other Charles Handy books and if you are lucky enough, from time to time he will do a lecture or a presentation although in his mid – late 70’s now he is still a fantastic, inspiring leader.
