London Grammar

If you wait

Much heralded and critically acclaimed, London Grammar's album 'if you wait' came to my attention while listening to Radio 1 who are all over this like a rash.

If you are my wife it is one of those "morbid albums that you buy" but it is lovely, slow, relaxing music and is great for a long car journey or bike ride. The lead singer has an astonishing voice (she is also gorgeous) but it is very much in the same vain as Benjamin Francis Leftwich or Belle and Sebastian.

It is classic intellectual, arty, floaty music for baldy, middle class guys having a mid-life crisis so it suited me down to the ground!

There are no rough edges here, no Jake Bugg, it is a thinking mans album but it is a good album and one that you will probably listen to over and over again.
