We can tell that I have teenage daughters with the language that slips in and out of the blogs.

A friend of mine contacted me the other day to say that he thought there had been a bit of ‘beef’ on Facebook that indirectly involved me.

When I heard this I was intrigued, but not overly concerned. I did however make the mistake of taking the time to look into it only to realise that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

It confirmed to me yet again that the advantage of being involved in night after night social media discussions on anecdotal topics with people who seem to appear out of nowhere but profess to be leaders and experts is not really worth my while.

I came off Facebook some time ago mostly because when I’m not on it I’m busy doing the ‘work’.

It might not be clear to the social media community what that work is but it will be clear soon enough and I have to continue being true to myself and resist the urge to get caught up in the ‘beef’.
