No battle plan

It's well accepted that no battle plan ever stands in contact with the enemy.

The point of planning something is not to execute a perfect plan; it's so that you are as prepared as possible for the uncertainties that lie ahead.

We have reached a situation in society where everyone thinks if the plan does not go exactly as written, then someone has made a mistake, and the execution is flawed, and someone is to blame.

This is one of the greatest fallacies.

No battle plan ever stands in contact with the enemy, so what are you waiting for?

Jump in and adapt to the circumstances you find yourself in.

Sure, be as prepared as you can, but you will never prepare yourself 100% for what might happen or the unexpected things that will inevitably come straight in front of your face.

If you can flip this round, and instead of saying, "I have to deal with this stuff", you can think ", I get to deal with this stuff." then the problems the challenges become exciting and refreshing instead of being something where you blame someone else for a catastrophe and then moan about having to deal with it.

Planning will never guarantee extraordinary execution; it's the process of being inside something and fixing the problems that arise which lead to the greatest outcomes and the greatest satisfaction.
