Agreeing to disagree

Circumstances and situations where two people cannot possibly reach the same point of understanding or appreciation will always occur. 

Understanding that the other persons position and point of view is as deep seated and important to them as yours is to you; is a great skill to cultivate.

Being able to agree that you both feel as strongly about your position as each other and reaching an accommodation and walking away with mutual respect at least (even as friends) is wise indeed. 

Looking at the problem from all angles in a calm and safe way and agreeing to disagree removes tons of heartache, tons of time wasted and may even keep relationships intact.
