It's one of the most important developing values in the world.

It used to be perseverance or resilience, the ability to stick with a project and stay until the end, or to stick in a job for the rest of your life or to stay where you were, grinding it out day after day.

But then the tide came in, and the world changed. While it's really important to be able to stay the course and not give up easily, it's also really, really important to be able to change your view or change your tack or act quickly to grasp opportunities when they exist.

Technology speeds that up exponentially, but the ability to see how the technology speeds it up and the willingness to accept the disruption of agility and change is hard for many, many people.

We all try to protect ourselves, to edge towards comfort and to surround ourselves with a bubble, but the world will burst the bubble sooner or later (usually sooner), forcing us to be agile because the alternative is unthinkable.
