89 rules – part 3

If you haven’t read the first two, you can read part 1 here and part 2 here.

Part 3 is from Giles Coren from The Times and he has several belters in his list of rules to live by.

1) If you have to ask, she's not okay.

Obviously, you can substitute she with he or any gender you like.

Again, this is quite a telling insight, isn't it?

If you have reached the situation where you feel you have to ask if someone is okay, then you obviously realise that they're not okay.

Sometimes the strategy is not to ask, sometimes the strategy is to act.

Perhaps in that circumstance (see part one) the best thing you can do is to ask someone how you can help them to be less not okay.
