It’s that time of year again when we offer the last few places that we have available for our Year Long course in Implant dentistry that starts in January.
We limit the number of places on the course to 12. We’re very strong on that point because we think this is about the optimum level for a classroom size for teaching and for group interaction.
I’d like to take this chance in the blog though to tell you a bit more about the Year Long course. What’s happened over the past few years, what it is, what it isn’t and if it is something you would like to do or not.
It’s not the cheapest Year Long course on the market and if you email me I can tell you which one that is (not fair of me to do it publically here). It’s not the dearest either. I’d say it was more towards that end of the market rather than the cheap end.
The reason for this is we feel it is an encompassing Year Long course that includes not only didactic teaching (lectures etc.) but also considerable practical teaching and the ability to bring your own patients (I’ll come to that later).
We also have an enormously innovative system for group interaction between modules, this has been a huge success in the previous runnings of the course, bringing together a group of individuals to share their experiences and to continue to share these once the course is finished.
We talk about stuff that goes wrong, not just stuff that goes right and we talk about how you can learn from the stuff that goes wrong to make more things go right.
We have a broad range of people who educate from guys who have recently completed the course to guys who have long long past their first ever implant course.
We have a proven pathway through additional educational opportunities to 50 implants per year.
Perhaps one of the things that sets this course apart though is the ability to bring your own patients to the course, treat them and overall the way that that is managed.
If you do it right then your cases will be set up pretty well for looking towards a diploma in the future, and if your in a position where you think you wouldn’t have patients to bring on a Year Long implant course you would have to ask yourself why you are coming on that course in the first place.
The guys on our courses who do really well, who continue to do well and ‘break through the glass ceiling’ of 50 implants a year are the guys who find it’s not difficult to bring patients onto the course.
Finally though we genuinely talk people out of the course for various reasons because it is important to get to know you to make sure this is the right course for you. The last thing we want is someone coming on the course and being disappointed.
If you’re interested the brochure is here if you want to look at a couple of testimonials of guys that have been on it then there here too. If you want to arrange a call to talk about it with Tom who runs the Academy then email him here tom@campbellacademy.co.uk
Hope to see you next year, all the best.
