The year ahead

It's always really special and always really exciting when we launch our education programme for the following year.

It’s become a bit of a thing in The Academy and we look forward to it and the interaction that it brings and the excitement that it brings about what’s going to happen next year and who we are going to meet and see.

And so next year we have the busiest year that we've ever had, and all entirely hosted within our own facility for the very first time.

That was supposed to be 2020 but we didn’t get into the new building quickly enough and so some of the year course starts were offsite.

Then we had all that stuff that happened in 2020 that soon enough we’ll be talking about in the past and so next year will be our first full year in our own place where we know how everything works and where everyone sits and where everyone parks.

Amazingly, under the current circumstances, we’re pretty heavily booked for next year already for some of the courses that have only been announced in the Education Programme just now.

We have some spaces left on our Year Implant Course but if all things are as they’ve been before these will be full within the next 8 weeks or so.

Again we have some space left on our Year Two Implant Course which takes people from a straightforward understanding of implant dentistry into much bigger things. We’re already pretty well booked for the Sinus Course (we might need another one of those) and our Full Arch course, our Aesthetic course and our CBCT course only have a few spaces remaining.

The Master Classes are always the wonderful variable and we’ve launched the brochure with one from Andy on Immediate Full Arch Reconstruction which takes people beyond his three-day live skills course on Immediate Full Arch and ties in with much of the stuff he’ll be lecturing on at the ITI Congress next October and I’ll do another one this time on consultations and everything from clinical to behavioural to all the sales aspects of an implant consultation; packaged up together in one day.

We have an entirely solid standard operating procedure for the Academy with space for 14 people at their own workstations and 23 people theatre style. This has been tested and tested.

We have an air-recycling system which recycles the air every 6 minutes in the Academy space and lots of recommendations for accommodation which are great.

We have a teaching environment within the clinical environment and neither of those two environments are likely to be closed.

Instead of waiting until next year to see how things will turn out, why not make next year the year you develop because in the new world that’s coming next only the people that have developed will be the ones that prosper.
