The Education Programme (in the midst of the madness)

If you follow this blog or have read anything within the last few months, you will realise it is a little bit nuts at the moment!

Pretty much tonnes of things going on, but in particular the building of the new practice and the buildings that go around it and this has taken much attention on the crazy rollercoaster ride that it is.

The funny thing is though, that it doesn’t detract from the fact that the normal work still needs to be done and in the background lots of people (including me) have been working really hard to put together our Education Programme for 2020. You can download it by following the link at the bottom of the page.

It is hard to believe that this is our 5th annual Education Programme since we started in 2015.

We still have a copy of the first one, which was about 2 pages long and looking back now seems laughable but was ahead of its time I think for what we were doing then.

Things have moved along dramatically, and this programme is packed with tonnes and tonnes of educational opportunities, chances to meet likeminded people and abilities to grow as a clinician.

The most important thing about the 2020 Education Programme is that you understand that what we are trying to do is build a tribe of people who think the same way.

This has proved really, really successful and we now have a brilliant group of people who return again and again to different things that we do, to meet as friends and to learn together.

We have moved on from being educators to being facilitators of relationships, people who introduce clinicians from different backgrounds and different geographical areas, but with the same philosophical approach.

Some of the highlights for me are always The Business Course and the Year Implant Course.

The Business Course allows us to go outside of dentistry, to places that really influence us on what we can do as a clinician and what we can do as a team but are often overlooked when dentists discuss clinical issues for the majority of the time.

The Year Implant Course allows us to introduce more people into the tribe and the majority of whom seem to want to return for other courses and other interactions.

The real big news for next year though, is the Digital Implant Dentistry course (DID), this is brand new and is 6 days in 2, 3 day modules of the full DID experience.

The amount of kit that we have put together in the new practice (mostly courtesy of Straumann with great thanks) to be able to provide the most extraordinary digital dentistry experience is amazing.

We will have Intraoral scanners, digital implant guided surgery kits, full guided surgery software training platforms and the ability to provide the treatment on your own patient in the practice.

The first three days are surgical, taking you from the basics of STL and DICOM all the way to surgery on a patient, followed by three days of Digital Implant Restorative Dentistry, exploring impression techniques, scanning techniques and also restorative protocols and digital laboratory set-ups.

This year also we have backed that up with 3 extraordinary masterclasses from high level European clinicians, all in digital dentistry.

Sebastian Kuhl (University of Basel) will present on guided implant surgery.

Tim Joda will present on digital restorative implant dentistry.

Vincent Fehmer has been confirmed to present on digital laboratory work.

Even if you are not familiar with these guys, I can assure you they are massive big hitters in the world of academic dentistry, and they are main congress speakers who are coming to provide discussion and learning in the new Campbell Clinic environment.

Finally, it is also worth noting that this is the first year we will be in the new facility.

I would say this, but I think it will be worth coming to something just to see what we have put together.

The brochure is here, I hope you see something you like.

Please come and see us and contact Tom here.
