Today we have launched The Year Implant Course 2018 and you can find and download the new digital brochure for 2018 here.

This is the third blog I’ve written to discuss the launch of The 2018 Year Implant course and you can read the first two blogs here and here. In this one though, I wanted to focus on the style of enhanced CPD that we use along side modern digital teaching methods on the Year Implant Course for delegates to get the most out things.

One of the most important things we did a long time ago was to set up an online discussion forum. For this course and for our Business Course and these have been extremely successful. Not only for people sharing ideas about were there going to stay on the course so there all in the same hotel, but sharing cases, questions, experiences, triumphs and disasters. This allows delegates to be fully immerse in the course all the way through the year and not just at the times they attend for modules in the practice. Life long friendships have been made here.

Secondly we use Dropbox to discuss cases together as delegates start to select their patients, we have a strict protocol for the photography, radiographic collection and case notes for patients. We give out all the stationary required to assess and consent patients appropriately and these are checked off before delegates attend the practice with patients for the clinical days of the course. The clinical days of the course really are where friendships are cemented as generally delegates who are placing are assisted by one of their other colleagues on the course and vice versa. We keep the numbers small so we are able to pick out individual learning requirements for each individual delegate, to make sure everybody gets the most out of the course and we can re visit the program throughout the year to make sure its bespoke for the individual group.

The faculty is fantastic, including Colin Burns, currently ITI leadership in the UK and Ireland, Michael Bornstein, professor or Oral Surgery in Hong Kong, Chris Barrow, business coach, myself, Andy Legg, Beatriz Sanchez Ingo from our practice. Neil Poyser, consultant restorative dentist to name just a few people on the course.

If your interested in starting out your implant career or reinvigorate your implant career at high quality level and wish to cement your skills and build a foundation for your future practice then contact us and discuss your possibly place on this course.  It starts in January.
