So much capacity

We only have so much capacity, everyone.

We only get the opportunities to live 24 hours every day, and at least most of us get the opportunity to decide how much of that time is spent, and this is the problem, isn't it? This is the question.

We think we’re limited in our choices and our chances, but the fact is, our opportunities are probably endless. We get stuck in a situation, a lifestyle trap, or a pattern and then we get miserable because we don't have the capacity to do the things that we want and then we have opportunities where our capacity increases and we don't spend the time as ‘wisely’ as we think we should or live our lives in such a ‘wholesome way’ that we can be gratified with our existence and the things that we achieve.

Society tells us that we should be this or that, that our time should be spent doing all these things which are magnificent and wonderful and brilliant, and the recognition that should come from that should make us glow from the inside to the out and so, we use our vital capacity, the only time we have, and the only currency which is really unredeemable over and over again in ways that aren't actually anything that feeds us or makes us better (at least for most of us).

Going back to the basics and remembering that how you spend your time is actually a choice, makes it much easier to change some of the patterns that we get ourselves into, which are not spending our time or capacity as wisely as we could or should.
