Tons of the stuff I get to do now is meetings about opportunities. People coming to us and saying, "We could work together, or are you interested in this??”
For me, the question is first,
Does it allow us to meet the vision of what we're here for? “We exist to positively influence, etc.”
Secondly, it's what's in it for me /us. Once I've realised that it fits the value of what we're trying to do to make a positive difference, then it has to feed us, not eat us.
If we take all the opportunities that exist that eat us, we'll be dead.
The responsibility is to look after us, and then to encourage more people to join us, and then to make it better for us.
I really believe we're doing good things here. I'm happy for people to come and join us and help us, but the only reason we would get bigger is to make a bigger and better difference, and in doing that, we would be a better version of ourselves.
