Back catalogues

The Beatles haven't written a song for decades, but their back catalogue still sells in millions.

David Bowie sold the rights of his back catalogue for millions and cashed in on its value. Everyone can build a back catalogue.

There are over 400 blog posts in my published blog and from time to time, people come and speak to me about a blog they had read that I had written years ago but more importantly, I have 16 years of implant patients in my back catalogue. Almost on a weekly basis I see new patients who come on recommendation from someone else or patient who I treated 10 years ago who return for further treatment.

It costs our practice nothing to source these patients. The cost of a sale is zero, it comes out of the long tail of my back catalogue of thousands of patients.

When I talk to people new in implant dentistry they don't seem to get this very often. They might only have treated one or two patients but I can still remember the name of the first patient I treated in 1998 for his lower right central incisor implant when I started my back catalogue.
