A short recipe for overcoming the overwhelm

When you find yourself overwhelmed with what needs to be done (as I do often) this small tip below might help you make sense.

Take a blank piece of paper (or as many as you need based on the size of your handwriting) write down everything you need to do based on your list of emails, your project management tools, other lists of paper, texts on your phone, etc.

When you have finished writing this inclusive list, try to be as honest as possible. Begin by numbering them 1,2,3,4 and 5.

1 are the most urgent tasks that have to be done now.

5 are the least urgent ones that can be left and so on.

Be honest about this and prioritise the tasks.

Once you have done this, sit down and do the 1’s.

By the time you have done one or two 1’s, you will feel enormously better.

You’re welcome.
