Last year in November, it culminated with Eddie the Eagle, talking about rising from the ashes, from failure, what he'd learned, telling stories of his life, but he didn't steal the show.
John Gibson stole the show as he does when he talks about what happened to him, his family, his son, and what he did next.
Other speakers were extraordinary.
Sue Storey talked about her career in sport and performance sport and how she overcame barriers to get where she got to. She inspired everyone.
Dom Shaw gave an extraordinary lecture about being in the army as a military dentist, and Josh Sharpling. Josh Sharpling was sensational, honest, brutal, and visceral.
There were many times during that Learning From Failure Conference that you could have heard a pin drop, people cried, and at times, people couldn't speak, but everybody learned an extraordinary amount.
Most of the speakers on that day gave their time free of charge so that they could share their stories with other people, purely within the spirit of trying to help and make it better and then most of us, at least a lot of us, got dressed up in Christmas fancy-dress and went to the ball.
I'm looking for four speakers for this year. I realise I'm asking a lot, for you to share a story of what went wrong, to try and help everybody else in that room, maybe not to go down that path, or maybe to realise that what's happened to them is also possible to be overcome.
I need you to be brave, and I need you to be selfless, qualities that aren't obvious in abundance in society these days, but if you're interested, if you'd like to help, either hit reply on this blog or email me here, I'd be really delighted to hear from you.
Thanks for sticking your neck out, thanks for making a difference.
