Just a short, bitchy blog post to draw your attention to what can happen to trademarks and logos.
Here is an example of a logo that has appeared recently which has a dazzling similarity to the logos we have for The Campbell Clinic and The Campbell Academy.
For the record, The Campbell Clinic logo was created in 2007 by Colin Campbell and is trademarked. It is a pink box with a white circle and the circle stands for 'O for Oral Surgery' as the essence of my career is based on Oral Surgery. The four points of the square stand for Medicolegal, Oral Surgery, Dental Implants and Education; the four prongs of my career. This was created by Adam Hampson at what was Pinch Design but is now Cosmetic Digital, their website is here. We have all the history back from this and there were no logos similar to this prior to that because we searched for them.
The logo for the organisation in this blog was created after that but we have had considerable contention from this provider who is refusing to change the mistake they have made in providing a logo that is almost exactly the same as ours.
My advice to your guys is to make your own judgement on this but also be careful with your own logos (make sure they're trademarked, it doesn't cost much).
