I have blogged about this course before but I presented my module earlier in the year with my friend Fadi Barrak on the year long modular course as a foundation in implant dentistry.

I cannot imagine that there is a better course for people starting in implant dentistry in the United Kingdom with more robust educational principles or more dynamic.

The course was years in the development followed by meetings of the educators who would present the course to make sure that there was a proper constructive approach and joined up thinking.

The course itself is de-briefed after each module but is actually de-briefed during the course after each lecture to ensure that the learning outcomes are being met and any delegate feedback in acted upon in real time.

The feedback as we go through the course is fantastic and many of the delegates have attended other year courses, one of them who spoke to me recently had attended 3 previous year courses in dental disciplines prior to this.

They're quite astonished by the level of equipment that is available and the level of infrastructure that's in place.

I was even taken aside by the educational director after my first lecture and told to make sure I was keeping on the programme for the FID course and not getting too complicated. I was able to adjust things to make sure I was on programme and in the end the feedback was exceptional.

If you're thinking about starting out in your career in implant dentistry this is definitely the place to start and definitely the course to do.
