Jake Bugg

Jake Bugg is a teenage sensation from Nottingham – one man and a guitar who sprang up through the Radio 1 stages at various festivals and went from being a local Nottingham hero to a national star.

I have heard him on live lounges on Radio 1 and he will be high up the bill on many festivals next year. He is a singer – songwriter, absolutely raw, working class type of guy.

The album is fabulous and starts out really sounding like something from Bob Dylan but with various other influences and is just honest song writing.

I don’t know this for certain but I am pretty sure he will worship Oasis and Noel Gallagher in particular. He backed up Noel on his recent US tour.

Because you don’t live in Nottingham means you may not have heard of Jake Bugg but certainly give him a listen on one of the free sites because if you like one man and his guitar in the Bob Dylan style then I think you will really like this young guy.

We have seen him live on a couple of occasions in Nottingham, once in a room with about 50 people and it was absolutely fabulous.
